Combined Collection
The Combined Collection lets you merge any two collections using a common identifier in the documents. Fields from both collections are combined into a new document.
Create a Combined Collection
- Log in to the Admin Console, go to the Collections tab, and click "Create a New Collection" or the "+" icon.
- Select Combined Collection as the Collection Type.
- Enter a unique name for the collection (e.g., "Intranet Site").
- Set Private/Public Collection Access and Collection Encryption as needed.
- Choose the content language (if not English).
- Click Save to create the collection.

After creating the Combined Collection, you will be taken to the Settings tab.
Settings
- In the Settings tab, you can combine two collections by selecting the collection type and choosing the common field to link them.
| Field | Description |

| Collection 1 | Name of the first collection to merge. |
| Collection 1 Link Field | Field used to join the collections. |
| Collection 2 | Name of the second collection to merge. |
| Collection 2 Link Field | Field used to join the collections. |

Schedule and Index
Sets the frequency and start date/time for indexing a collection. Schedule Frequency supported in SearchBlox:
- Once
- Hourly
- Daily
- Every 48 Hours
- Every 96 Hours
- Weekly
- Monthly
The following operation can be performed in Combined collections

Data Fields Tab
- Data Fields tab allows creating custom fields for search and viewing default data fields in non-encrypted collections. SearchBlox supports 4 types of Data Fields:
- Keyword
- Number
- Date
- Text
- After configuring Data Fields, the collection must be cleared and re-indexed for changes to take effect.
