Keyword Search vs Hybrid Search Comparison plugin

The comparison plugin makes it possible to compare the results of both keyword and hybrid search. Based on which user can analyze, how the combination of keyword and vector search alters the relevancy of results. For a given query, results populated on the left column are of keyword search and right column are from hybrid search as shown in the following screenshot.

Comparison

Each Hybrid search result has a badge to indicate whether there is change in position when compared to that of keyword search.

1. If a particular result exists only under hybrid search and not under keyword search, it is indicated in yellow color as shown below:

   

2. If a particular result under hybrid search is placed higher up than its position under keyword search, it is indicated in green color along with its original position.

   

3. If a particular result under hybrid search is placed lower than its position under keyword search, it is indicated in red color along with its original position.

   

Settings

User can control the keyword:vector search weight ratio for Hybrid search from the Hybrid search Settings. By default, the hybrid search is weighted at 80% keyword and 20% vector.
