Spelling Suggestion

SearchBlox provides spelling suggestions and corrections in search. In the API, suggestions are returned for incorrectly spelled search terms, and in faceted search, misspelled terms are automatically corrected.

Enabling Spelling Suggestions

1. Spelling Suggestions can be turned on or off in the collection settings.
2. By default, Spelling Suggestions are enabled for collections.
3. After making any changes, clear and reindex the collection.

Spelling Suggestion/Correction in Faceted Search

• When Spelling Suggestion is enabled in the collection settings, faceted search automatically redirects to the correct spelling if the entered search term returns no results.

Spelling Suggestion in Search API

• When Spelling Suggestion is enabled in the collection settings, the suggested value appears in the JSON results when a search term is misspelled.
