The Search Analytics Dashboard provides detailed insights into how users search and interact with content. It collects data from OpenSearch and displays real-time trends, user behavior, and overall search performance in a clear visual format.

Search Analytics Dashboard

The Search Analytics section in the Admin page provides a complete report of all searches performed across every collection. You can view the data in an easy-to-read dashboard and export it as CSV or Excel files, or download it directly using a URL.

View Analytics

In the Analytics Dashboard, you can view a wide range of search performance metrics:

  1. Searches: Total number of searches with charts showing search activity.
  2. No Result Searches Rate: Searches that returned no results.
  3. Result Clicks: Shows how often users clicked on search results.
  4. Searches from Suggestion: Clicks on recommended search terms.
  5. Featured Results Clicks: Engagement with highlighted or promoted results.
  6. Interactive Graph: Displays Date vs. Count trends.
  7. Top Searches: Shows the most popular user queries.
  8. Zero Results List: Identifies searches that returned no results.
  9. Top Suggestion Clicks: Highlights the most effective recommendations.
  10. Top Search Results: Displays the most frequently clicked content.
  11. Total Featured Results: Overall clicks on featured content.

You can also refine your analysis by selecting a specific date range using the date range selector at the top of the dashboard.

Purge data

This action permanently deletes unnecessary or outdated data from the database. Once the data is purged, it cannot be restored. Click the purge icon shown below to perform this action.


Download Query Logs Report

The Analytics feature allows you to compare results across different time periods and download detailed query logs for:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Past Week
  • Past Month
  • Past 3 Months
  • Past 6 Months
  • Last Year

By using the compare button, you can choose from three comparison options to review performance trends:


  • None: Shows all results without any comparison.
  • Previous Period: Compares the selected date range with the same number of days from the previous period.
  • Previous Year: Compares the selected date range with the same dates from the previous year.
    For customized analysis, query logs can also be downloaded for any specific date range you select.

SearchBlox provides three easy ways to share analytics reports:

Copy Link to Clipboard: Copy and share the direct report link with team members.

Download as CSV: Export the report in CSV format for further data analysis.

Download as PDF: Export the report in PDF format for presentations or documentation.
