Analytics Dashboard

The Analytics section of the Admin page offers a comprehensive report of all searches conducted in SearchBlox across all collections. The data is presented in an intuitive dashboard format, which users can conveniently export as CSV or Excel files, or access via a downloadable URL.

View Analytics

In the Analytics Dashboard, you can explore a comprehensive suite of search performance metrics:

  • Total Searches conducted across the platform
  • Zero Result Searches that returned no matches
  • Result Clicks showing user engagement with search results
  • Suggestion Clicks tracking interactions with recommended terms
  • Featured Results Clicks measuring prominence of highlighted content
  • Interactive Graph displaying Date vs. Count trends
  • Top Searches revealing most popular user queries
  • Zero Results list identifying search gaps and opportunities
  • Top Suggestion Clicks highlighting effective recommendations
  • Top Search Results Clicks showing most engaging content

Customize your analysis by selecting specific time frames using the convenient date range selector in the top right corner of the dashboard.

Download Query Logs Report

The Analytics feature allows you to compare results across multiple timeframes and download comprehensive query logs for:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • This Week
  • Last Week
  • This Month
  • Last Month

Using the intuitive 'compare' button, you can access four powerful comparison options to track performance trends:

  • Preceding period - Compares with the exact matching days of the week from the preceding period.
  • Same period last year - Analyzes the currently selected period against the identical period from the previous year, with matched weekdays.
  • Preceding period (sequential) - Evaluates the selected period against the immediately preceding timeframe without weekday matching.
  • Same period last year (non-matched) - Compares with the same date range from the prior year without matching specific days of the week.

For customised analysis, query logs can also be downloaded for any personalised date range you select.
