The Assist section in SearchBlox provides predefined AI-powered actions that help users quickly process and understand content. These actions use prompts to perform specific tasks such as highlighting, explaining, comparing, summarizing, and analyzing documents or URLs.

How Assist Works

Assist allows users to select an action and apply it to indexed content or external URLs. Each action is driven by a predefined prompt that instructs the AI on how to process the content. The output is generated instantly based on the selected action.

Search and Action Management

Users can search for available actions using the search bar by entering the action name or prompt. The interface displays a list of actions along with their corresponding prompts for easy selection and management.

Available Actions

Highlights

This action extracts and highlights key elements from the content. It identifies important sentences, keywords, named entities (such as people, organizations, and dates), and notable phrases. It is useful for quickly understanding the most important parts of a document.

Explain

This action simplifies complex content into clear and easy-to-understand language. It breaks down technical concepts and provides explanations that are suitable for a general audience. It may include examples or step-by-step reasoning for better clarity.

Compare

This action compares multiple documents or URLs. It identifies similarities and differences and presents them in a structured format, often as a table. It highlights key aspects such as content, structure, and themes.

Summarize

This action generates a concise summary of the content. It focuses on key points, main ideas, and important details, providing a quick overview without reading the full document.

Analyze

This action performs a detailed examination of the content. It identifies patterns, trends, insights, inconsistencies, and important observations. It may also provide recommendations based on the analysis.

Create Action – Allows users to define custom AI actions by providing a name and prompt based on specific requirements
Restore Default Actions – Reverts all actions to the system-defined defaults
Refresh Actions List – Reloads the actions to display the most recent updates

Create Assist Action

The Create Assist Action feature allows users to define custom AI actions by specifying a unique action name and a prompt. These custom actions enable users to tailor content processing based on specific requirements.

Action Name

The Action Name field is used to assign a unique name to the custom action. This name will be displayed in the Assist actions list and should clearly represent the purpose of the action.

Prompt

The Prompt field defines the instruction given to the AI. It determines how the content will be processed and what type of output will be generated. The prompt should be clear, specific, and aligned with the intended task such as summarizing, analyzing, or extracting information.
